Home Again

It's 9:00 am on Friday morning. I'm back in Shippensburg, but my head is in a jet-lagged blur. So many things happened in the last 10 days that it will take some time to process my experience. But I thought I'd at least share some highlights of my trip to the Netherlands.
  • I met some really wonderful people. From the staff of Atlantic Bridge, to local pastors and teachers, to waiters, store clerks, and peope on the street, the people I met are the greatest highlight of the trip.
  • I saw some beautiful sights. The Netherlands is a beautifully flat country of farms, medieval towns, modern cities and lots of water. Oh...and a few windmills, too.
  • I was stretched. I love my country, but our way of doing things is not always the best way. People all over the world have some really good ideas.
  • I saw huge potential for ministry. For the last 6 years, we have been sending people to do work projects. But there is so much more than can be done, if we are willing to open our eyes to new ideas and take some risks.

I am grateful to the people of Prince Street Church for enabling this trip, and especially to Wayne, Pat, and Steve for their companionship. And I look forward to seeing where things lead as we seek God's face together.
