Sneak Peek 06.13.08

This Sunday, we'll continue our "Journey thru Genesis".

Last week, from the story of Noah we saw that God keeps His promises. And we were confronted with a choice: choose to allow our mistrust of people to poison the way we view God; or, choose to trust God and allow our relationship with Him to enable us to trust each other.

This week, we’re fast forwarding about 1,000 years to arrive at the story of Abram. As his story begins, we find that Abram is a very successful nomadic shepherd. His hometown is Ur in ancient Mesopotamia. But he has followed his father Terah to Haran in modern south-eastern Turkey. He’s living with his Dad, his wife, Sarai, and his nephew, Lot. But his story isn’t about nomadic sheep herding. It’s about his relationship with God. And as we read Genesis 12, one key principle will emerge.

I look forward to sharing that with you this Sunday.
