I love my children. They are two of the great joys of my life. I know that they are gifts from God and I am grateful for the opportunity to pour my life into them.
But when they spend a week at their grandparents' house, I get to have my bride back with no distractions. That's what I'm enjoying this week.
Last night, we had a free night. No meetings. No children's events. Nothing. So we went to dinner at our favorite restaurant with two of our favorite friends. How can you get better than that? Great Mexican food. Great conversation. No responsibilities.
The kids come home on Friday, and I'm looking forward to that. But until then, it's newlywed time all over again!

I like your article minus the picture!! I love and miss our boys, too, but I do agree with you that it has been nice spending lots of time with you. I love you and the family God has blessed us with. I will see you later for more "us" time. Have a great day.
