Stepping out in Faith

One of the things that excites me is seeing God bring growth in people who step out in faith. Lately, I've been seeing this happen in a number of people. But yesterday, I was really impressed with Jeff Miller.

Jeff is the chairman of the Prince Street Church Board. He is also a good friend who has been allowing God to stretch him.

Our worship planning team has been discussing ways to continue to refine our worship experiences. We've been focusing lately on prayer. And we've decided that it doesn't always have to be facilitated by a pastor. So, this week I asked Jeff if he would oversee the time of prayer in our first worship service. He agreed.

And yesterday morning, I joined God in smiling as His child stepped out in faith. His prayer wasn't long. It wasn't complicated. But it was genuine. And it helped me lift my soul to God.
