This morning, my family and I are headed to the Poconos to spend some time with my parents at Great Wolf Lodge. We'll be there through Friday.
How did this happen?
My parents like to steal away with us each year to spend some time with their grandchildren. And because they also enjoy some quiet time after they're done spoiling them for the day (which is something every grandparent has the right to do), they take Janet and me along.
The "hook" at Great Wolf is the indoor water park. What a great idea! Fun in the water without the worry of sunburn or thunderstorms.
What will I be doing?
My first priority will be enjoying some time with the family. Times to get away together create memories for a lifetime, and I'm going to take full advantage of it. But I'll also be taking my laptop along in order to get some work done. Sermons don't write themselves, and this is not my vacation, so I will spend some of the time writing and planning, and a whole lot of time praying.
So that's what I'll be up to for the next few days. I'm really looking forward to it.
