It's Thursday, a day late for this post. But it isn't because I'm not up to date. I'm just forgetful this time.
I have really been enjoying using the Chronological guide this week. Reading Proverbs and Ecclesiastes while journeying through Solomon's life has been great.
But the part that struck me the most this week was the passages from the end of Solomon's reign which we read today. Solomon...the smartest man ever...the king over the greatest nation in the history of the world...the man who had everything he could possibly want...pitched it all because he wouldn't listen to God about women.
It cost him dearly. But sin always does.
