What a journey the past few days! I have never before read David's psalms connected with the historic story. What tragedy.
Saul chasing David, doing all he can to kill. David running for his life, repeatedly refusing to harm Saul. Crying out to the Lord.
Meanwhile, the story coming from Virgina Tech rips at our hearts.
It leaves me following David's example...crying out to the Lord...for comfort...for justice...for healing...for peace...for His Kingdom come, His will be done, in earth as in heaven...
In Blacksburg...in Shippensburg...in Baghdad...in Darfur...in the West Bank...in the Sudan... everywhere people suffer and die on a daily basis in human-generated violence.
Amen.
