The Single Life - Day 3

Today is the half-way point of my week as a temporary bachelor. In a few more days, it will be back to normal, with Janet and the boys returning home on Saturday.

Yesterday, I played golf at with a family from church. What a blast! It was hazy, hot & humid. So the course was nearly empty. It's a good thing, too, because one of the members of our foursome was an elementary aged boy playing his first round of golf. How did we score? Well, let's just say that niether Tiger or Vijay have anything to worry about.

Last night, it was wall-to-wall baseball. Big D and I attended an American Legion game. It was fun to spend some time together. The game was terrible. Our team gave up half-way through the 5th inning. Big D had a "honey-do" project to complete, so we left. The All-Star game completed the evening of ball.

Then something unusual happened. I was turning lights off, heading to bed, when I noticed car lights on the street in front of my house. Two police cruisers, were parked there, arresting what appeared to be some young people. You don't see that everyday when you live in a quiet street in a rural borough.

What's on tap for today? Another marathon. I even have a luncheon appointment. I'll fill you in on the details tomorrow.
