The Single Life - Day 4

Yesterday was another marathon, but what an enjoyable day.

In the morning, I talked with a person who is struggling with clarifying God's call to ministry. Is it to volunteer ministry or vocational ministry? Is it in "this" ministry or "that ministry"? What impact does this have on my family? These are all great questions. Not easy, but great. I love talking with people who are serious about growing in their walk with God. So to this person (I know you're reading this), thanks for the conversation, and I'll be praying for you.

In the afternoon, I sat with a dear friend and talked about life and ministry. We talked about refining God's calling on our lives. We talked about our families. We laughed. We cried. We shared. I'm so thankful for friends like this with whom I can be completely transparent, without risk.

In the evening, I met with my prayer partner and participated in Worship Team rehearsal. I continue to work at my guitar skills (still VERY rough, but improving). I love preparing for and participating in public worship.

Finally, at 8:30, it was time for supper. A chef's salad from Pizza Man really hit the spot. And, frankly, I'm proud of myself for choosing a salad instead of the Cheesesteak I really wanted.

On to Day 5...
