The Inward Journey

Recently, I've been focusing my devotional reading on the books of 1 &2 Timothy and Titus. The impetus for these choices was the US National Conference of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. Our speaker referenced several passages that really gripped my heart. So, I decided to immerse myself in these books for the next several months. For July and August, I've been focusing on Timothy. Here's the passage that struck me today:

"This is the only race worth running" (2 Timothy 4:7; MSG)
