When I was a kid, I loved getting mail. It was almost always a personal letter or card. But now, the mail is drudgery. Junk mail...bills...junk mail bills...
But, every so often, there's a personal letter. I always tear into those first.
And that's what we'll be doing over the next 3 weeks together...tearing into a personal letter. It was written by the Apostle Paul to a rich guy named Philemon about a runaway slave named Onesimus who had become a disciple of Jesus Christ. It's one of the greatest stories of change in the entire Bible.
This week, we'll look at the amazing change that took place in Onesimus and see how we can find healing and wholeness in God's grace, too.
