It's been a while since I wrote about my read through "My Utmost for His Highest". Usually, that means things haven't been going very well. This is no exception.
I have been keeping up with the readings (except for during vacation). But, honestly, I've been struggling to do so...ending up doing it more as something that needs to be done rather than something I look forward to.
I don't know if this is just a temporary block that I simply need to practice discipline in, or whether something else is happening. I'm going to assume the first, and keep plowing through.
The area I have been really thriving in is using the Lord's Prayer as an outline. Lately, I've really been challenged by the phrase, "Your kingdom come...". As I pray for God's Kingdom to become a reality in my life...in my family...in Shippensburg...in Prince Street Church...etc, I'm challenged to think through what that means.
So...the journey continues. I know I'm not yet giving "My Utmost", but by God's grace, I find His Kingdom fleshing itself out in me.
I'll take that.
