Last night was "Pit" Night. We check cars for length, width, height from track, distance between wheels, and weight.
Maximum weight is 5 oz. Sometimes we've been under quite a bit, hurting our speed. One time I was way over, requiring us to drill away much of the car.
Last night, we were dead on. The scale alternated between 4.9 and 5.0. All that's left now is to put graphite on the wheels.
The race is Saturday at 10. I'll let you know how things go.
