Thru the Bible 9.26.07

I have always enjoyed reading Nehemiah. I think it's the task orientation that's built into me. But I've never appreciated it more than I am now.

This is the first time I'm reading through the Bible using a chronological guide. It has been a long journey. And now, as the journey is approaching its end, Nehemiah rallys the troops against all odds. That's my kind of guy!

Hmmm... There may be some insight there.

I was informed last night about a very troubling situation concerning a family member. I went to bed with a heavy burden. I did pray but it wasn't until I read Nehemiah this morning that I found peace and assurance that God is control. I must trust him and his plan will play out to the benefit of all involved.

Praise God
