I have always said that my family is my most important congregation. For me, that means placing them before my work at church. Yesterday, it meant spending the day with my son on his class field trip to the Renfrew Museum and Park in Waynesboro, PA.
We learned about making butter during colonial days by hearing stories presented by character actors. Then we learned more about it by actually making some. YUM!
We learned about raising crops while in the classroom of an historic "bank" barn. Then we leaned more about it by working in a garden.
It was a full day. It was a great day.
And I'm thankful to serve God among a group of believer who agree that my family is my most important congregation.
Thank you, my friends!
