It snowed a little bit in Shippensburg last night. By little bit, I mean 1" or less. That caused school to be delayed 2 hours. It's the second time this week that school was delayed. The first time was because it was cold.
OK, I know this makes me officially old, but when did school begin to be interrupted for cold or 1" of snow? What's next? Delays because a good movie was on last night?
To be honest, I like the delays. There's no struggling with the kids to get them out the door by 7:30. And Janet really enjoys the extra time in the morning. But I feel for people whose schedules aren't as flexible as hers.
So, to all of you out there who have to figure out what to do with your kids when school is unexplainably delayed or canceled, I congratulate you on your flexibility.
I'm just glad today wasn't Sunday.
That way I didn't have to make the decision!
