Workout Update

It's been a while since I wrote about my experience at the gym. Some may have figured that I gave up. They would be wrong.

I still work out regularly, and I'm making progress. The measuring tool that I am using is the Pull Up/Dip machine. It's a machine with counterbalance weights that effectively take up to 180 lbs. off your body, making the exercise easier. When I began, I struggle to do a few repetitions.

Things are different now. For dips, I have the machine set at 150 lbs. I did 11 dips today. Pull ups are harder. I have the machine at 160 lbs. I did 8 pull ups today. That's progress, and I feel pretty good about it.

Derek is in Arizona this week, so I'm working out on my own. It's nice not to have to get up at 5:30 am, but it's not nearly as enjoyable to go alone. I'm looking forward to his return, even if it means earlier mornings.

So for those of you who struggle with exercise, keep going. It is worth it.
