A couple years ago, the Sunday School picnic died. Why? Well, there are a lot of reasons. But, in the end, I guess that people decided that the return they were getting from the event was no longer significant enough for the investment they were putting into the event.
We let it go. Today, the picnic idea is making a comeback. But now it's a church family picnic. Suddenly nearly half the congregation signed up to attend. And today, it's going to happen.
Tonight at 4:00, at the Southampton Township Park on Airport Road, the party begins. I just hope the weather holds!
