The Bible describes God as omniscient (He knows everything), omnipresent (God is everywhere), and omnipotent (He can do anything). It’s easy to know these things in our heads. But it’s something else to be able to see it. We look at the world… the pain, suffering, wars, famine...the list goes on and on. It can be tempting to ask, "Where is God’s power?"
Where is it? Let's take a look:
- God's power is at work in you. (Philippians 2:13) God’s power is not in me to make my life easy. It’s in me to change me… from self-centered to Christ-centered. Do you want to see God's power? Just look at how He's changing you.
- Jesus’ power is at work for you. (Isaiah 40:29-31) All of us get weary. We come to the end of our strength. That’s exactly when God’s power kicks in for you.
- Jesus’ power is at work through you. (Acts 1:8) Every disciple of Jesus is a minister. Jesus’ power is available to work through you if you will just step out in faith.
2000 years ago, Jesus recruited 12 ordinary people. They had nothing going for them from the world’s perspective. But when the power of God worked through them, they changed the world.
Imagine what could happen through us if we allow Jesus power to work in us, changing us from the inside out, for us, to heal, bringing signs and wonders and miracles, and through us, to do extraordinary things.
