Veterans Day is a big deal in our household. I sense a great indebtedness to those who serve, not only in the military, but also domestic "first responders". So, we always do something special to emphasize this day with the kids.
This morning, I took the boys to breakfast. This afternoon, Jim and I plan to go hunting. Tonight, the boys will call their grandfathers to thank them for their service to our country.
So, if you're a Veteran reading this post...thank you for your service...for sacrificing yourself so that I have the opportunity to raise my children in the greatest country in the world. I'm forever grateful.
And if you're not a Vet, let me encourage you to do something to make this day special...for you...and for a Veteran you know.
