Vacation brought two more upgrades to the Bolich homestead.

Upgrade #1 - A new patio. When we move in (6 years ago) our patio was a two-level, wood and brick paver version. Between the aging wood and the weeds growing through the pavers, we decided it had to go. Now we have single-level, concrete patio that is much more enjoyable.

Upgrade #2 - Master bedroom paintjob. This one is pretty surprising to me. I had never painted a room before. So I was dreading it. But paying someone else to paint something that almost noone would see wasn't an option. So we bought the paint and spent the first several days of vacation working. It went fine. Our walls are now "Sauteed Mushroom". Now if I could just find a good steak in there, we'd be set.

Next up on the list is the kitchen cabinets. I want to replace the hardward and paint the cabinets. We're also planning carpet in the bedrooms and hallway. Then, if finances allow, we're going to look at replacing the kitchen counters.
