My seminary experience started in 1993. I attended a conservative, evangelical seminary in Myerstown, PA. In my first semester, I experienced something I never saw coming...a faith storm. What's that?
A faith storm is a term I made up for something that rocks your life, and threatens to blow you off your foundation of faith.
For me, it happened in my Doctrine of the Word of God class. I really began to struggle with the idea of believing that the Bible could be trusted. It's a storm that took me nearly the entire semester to work through. One that ended up strengthening my faith, leaving me thankful for the experience.
I suspect I'm not the only one who has, or will face faith storms. The question is, what can you do to prepare yourself to survive them?
