It's Holy Week. Although our schedules will tempt us to treat this week as any other, it's not. For disciples of Jesus Christ, this is the week we take an amazing journey. This journey begins by celebrating Jesus as King, but instead of leading to a coronation, it leads to a cross.
Instead of preaching the traditional Palm Sunday theme, I moved a little later in the story, finding Jesus in Bethany. You can read it here. As I read the story, one question came to mind, "How much is Jesus worth?"
The woman's answer the question is, "Jesus is worth everything...the very best I have to give." The disciples' answer is, "Jesus is worth following...within reason." Judas' answer is, "Jesus is worth what I can get out of him."
Do you see yourself in the woman? Do you see yourself in the disciples? Do you see yourself in Judas?
