Questions Answered

We're no longer wondering how the weekend would go. In my opinion, moving one of our services to Saturday night was a good move. Here's why:
  • Over 100 people gathered to worship God.
  • A couple people who would not have been able to come this morning had opportunity to worship God this weekend.
  • Several families who attend a variety of churches were able to worship together.
  • Some people who normally would not attend a service on a Sunday morning, were there with their family last night.

We had a great time this morning as well. I don't have the final numbers, but there were many more people there this morning than last night. It wouldn't surprise me if we came close to 300 people for the weekend. That would be fantastic.

The only flaw was that a few people came this morning at our regularly scheduled times. We did our best to get the word out. We asked all our Sunday School teachers to contact their students, reminding them of the time change. Our Ministry Assistant, Wanda, called everyone not in a class. But no matter how hard you try, sometimes info slips through cracks.

Those who came for the 8:30 am discovered they were early, so they came back an hour later. And unfortunately, at least one family came at the normal 11:00 am time to discover that everything was over. I feel really bad about that. So, if you experienced a scheduling problem, I apologize.

The good news is that we have 2 Christmas Eve services tomorrow night. The times are 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Both services are identical, so you can pick the service that fits your schedule best.

I can't wait to see you.
