It's Thursday...a day late for my Bible reading update. You might think it's because I fell behind again. You would be wrong. I just forgot.
The thing that has impressed me most in this week's readings is the extravagance in preparing the Temple. What a sight it must have been! I suspect many today would balk at the way everything was done with the finest quality. So many articles that they didn't bother to weigh them.
Now I'm not suggesting that worship spaces today match the Temple. But I think the issue of giving God the best we have to offer still applies.
Am I giving my best?
