One of the things I love about ministry is the opportunity to see people grow in their walk with Christ. Last night, in the course of 2-1/2 hours, I had three conversations that were a real blessing. Here's what happened.
One of my prayer partners and I met last night. This is one of the highlights of my week. Charlie is a real person who isn't afraid of me being real as well. We've forged a relationship in which it's safe to share not only our joys, but also our struggles. Every time we get together (about every other week) we have a great chat and a sweet time of prayer. Thanks, Charlie, for the way you invest in my life.
We're in the process of building a Worship Support Team. They are responsible for making sure that our worship spaces are prepared so that the worship leaders can focus on that task. Last night, I met with our new team leader, who has been part of Prince Street Church for about a year. Now she's jumping into leading ministry. Thanks, Ginny, for making yourself available to God.
Last Fall, a group of people began learning how to study the Bible on their own. Using Rick Warren's Personal Bible Study Methods., this group learned 12 different ways to dig into God's Word. In January, a few of those folks began an Advanced Bible Study, using the tools they learned to study the book of Ephesians. Last night was the last class session. Each has grown significantly in their confidence in studying the Bible. Thanks, Clem, Tom, Nancy, and Elaine for pushing yourselves to go deeper with God.
I serve God with great people. I'm glad I'm part of Prince Street Church.
