Proud Dad Moment

For the last month or so, my boys have been preparing for their school's "Speech Meet".

Round 1 included competing against the other students in their class for the opportunity to represent their classroom in the school competition. We got the word yesterday that David, was selected to advance. Yay, David!

I'm proud of him. But I'm just as proud of my other son, Jim. He worked really hard and made huge progress in his ability. He wasn't selected. Though disappointed, his immediate response was being an encouragement to David. WOW!

So, there's my proud dad moment. Credit really belongs to Janet, who spent countless hours working with the boys to prepare them for participation.

The school-wide meet is March 7. You better believe I'm going to do everything I can do to be there.
