Those of you who have been reading through the Bible with me this year are now in the Book of Leviticus. I'll admit, it doesn't quite read with the dramatic flow of Genesis or much of Exodus, but it is a great book. It's a great way to observe God giving His people instructions for how to live holy lives in a world that knows nothing of holiness.
Those of you who have been looking for my weekly update realize that I'm a day late. There's good reason for that...I'm a slacker.
Yesterday was a snow day for Janet and the kids. It was also David's birthday. So I decided to celebrate with them by sledding, etc.
There is another reason. I fell behind again. The last time I checked, I was 10 chapters behind, and I hadn't checked in a while.
But this morning, I needed to take a friend to the ER. So I had time to read. I finished Exodus (I had stopped at chapter 30). At that point I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't have my guide with me. So I kept reading.
When I got into the office, I noticed that now, I'm ahead by 5 chapters!
So there's my update. What struck me? Simply the seriousness with which God takes the holiness of His people. Man...we still have a long way to go.
