When the alarm went off this morning at 5:30, I had to convince myself to get out of bed. My legs hurt, and I just wanted to sleep.
But, thanks to the built-in accountability of a workout partner, I rolled out and got to the gym. While warming up on the exercise bike, I asked Derek to tell me today wasn't leg day. He just smiled. And that's not good.
We did leg presses, curls and extensions. They weren't bad. Actually, my legs feel better now than they did when I woke up.
A brief cool down on the bike and it was back home for a breakfast of Cheerios and coffee.
I'm enjoying the variety of exercise. In other attempts at working exercise into my routine, I have always just done the same thing, day after day. That gets boring which makes skipping days easier. It also leads to quitting.
What's on tap for tomorrow? I'll tell you when it happens.
