The shooting in Nickel Mines, PA leaves everyone asking difficult questions. Why did this happen? How do you cope? What can we do to protect our children?
One of the things that has amazed people is the response from the Amish community...forgiveness. I understand the amazement from the world, but I've heard a good bit of amazement coming from Christians as well. And that confuses me. I guess we could all learn a few lessons from our brothers and sisters in Nickel Mines.

How many times is the word forgive in the Bible? Why is it there so many times? How many times do we need to hear it?
I've been told by friends without Christ that Christianity is for the weak, those who need a crutch, those who can't think for themselves...
Christianity...
Having faith in One we cannot see...
Serving instead of seeking to be served...
Loving most those we think deserve love the least..
Having Joy in sorrow...
Celebrating death...
Fasting to be filled...
And even, Forgiving the very ones who persecute us...
This Christianity is very strange, indeed! Very wonderfully strange!
