- picked up the boys at the bus stop
- made hot chocolate for after-school snack
- supervised and checked homework assignments
- ate dinner
- made some phonecalls
- wrote some thank you notes
- watched Monday Night Football
- went to bed
Sound exciting? It was for me. Typically, my evenings are packed with activities, meetings, etc. But yesterday was just an ordinary time doing ordinary things. Thanks, God, for the sacredness of the ordinary.

Good for you Jim! It is important for pastors to model a priority list that includes family as one of the main things. I hope this is a sign of you not sacrificing your children upon the altar of "ministry"
Brent,
Good to hear from you. It is, in fact, a sign of choosing my children as a priority. I am blessed to serve God at a church that holds my time with my children as a priority as well. Thanks be to God!
