This Sunday's Scripture is tricky. It's based on 2 Corinthians 12:1-10. Here's the tough part. Paul writes, "To keep me from becoming conceited...there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me" (v. 7).
Here's my question: Who gave the thorn?
Satan? But why would Satan want to prevent Paul from becoming conceited?
God? But why would God give Paul something evil, and refuse to remove it?
Hmmm...
