My life as a bachelor is over. I picked up the kids this morning, and Janet this afternoon. I'm glad they are home. It's always interesting getting the kids readjusted after a week with their Grandparents. I don't think they hear the word "no" when they are with them. Which, by the way, is exactly the way it should be. I don't remember ever hearing my Grandma say no. And I wouldn't want it any other way for my kids.
It's time to get some dinner. Between Janet camping in the rain all week, and my eating on the run, we're going out to dinner. I made the mistake of suggesting that David (age 7) pick the restaurant. He chose McDonald's. It gave me the opportunity to give him his first "no" in a while. Because, after all, though Grandparents shouldn't have to say it, parents get to all the time.
