Another Year Older, And...

Yesterday was a special day in the Bolich household. We celebrated my 39th birthday. At this point some of you are saying, "He's only 39?!?" Yes friends, I have entered the final lap of my soujourn through the 30's. And we celebrated in fine fashion.

We began with a morning of golf with my friend and ministry partner, Craig. Round 2 was lunch with the family at my favorite Mexican restaurant (complete with sombrero, singing & fried ice cream). Round 3 was an afternoon running around from one air conditioned store to another, trying to avoid the heat. Round 4 included sharing the best Western movie of all time, "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" , with my sons . Top it off with cake (chocoloate with peanut butter icing) and ice cream (coffee) and you have a great day.

It was so much fun that I think I'll do it again, next year. After all, it worked for Jack Benny .

Actually, John Wayne was in it. A John Ford film starring John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Lee Marvin. How do you get better than that?
